For most people, February means Valentines day! But for this silly old bear, February is a month of love… love for pizza! :)) #HappyNationalPizzaDay
Christmas time is Pooh’s favorite time of the year as it means a lot of things. Besides eating, this season also means adventure for this silly old bear.
The 2 week holiday this 2014, allowed Pooh to explore some of the popular spots of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte and one of them is Ilocos Sur’s capital, Vigan.
Traveling to Vigan, it’s an 8-9 hour bus ride away from Manila. But since Pooh came from San Fernando, La Union, the ride was only a 2 hour drive away.
Going here, it is a must that you experience Calle Crisologo (Crisologo Street). This is the main attraction of the city and Pooh must say that it really is a must visit as you will be transported back in time, back to the Philippine Spanish colonial times. Tourists can also hire a Kalesa which will tour them around the city. Unfortunately, when Pooh visited the city, it was too crowded and just by looking at the horses it felt like they are overworked and dehydrated. 😦
But nevertheless, Vigan is a must visit not just for the foreigners
but also for the Philippine locals who wants to catch a glimpse of our country’s past. 🙂
You haven’t been to Ilocos Sur if you haven’t tried out their Bibingka yet. Trust Pooh, as the long line is definitely worth the wait. 🙂
After that history-filled walk down Calle Crisologo, you should also try out Tongson’s Royal Bibingka. 🙂
Pooh recommends that you plan your trip here during the lean season as it is hard to appreciate the beauty and history of the place when it is already too crowded and noisy.
All beginnings have an ending. An Alpha has an Omega. An alphabet starts with A and ends with Z. A job starts with an offer and ends with a resignation letter. A relationship ends with a break up. And of course, a life ends with death.
Oftentimes, we look at endings as a bad thing – a thing we dread the most as this means we’ve stopped, we’ve died, we’ve given up, we’ve been defeated, we’ve quit.
But no matter what happens, we have to say goodbye to something anyhow. Because that’s the reality – endings are inevitable. And for Pooh instead of mourning the end, why not be thankful?
As Pooh have said: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
Mcqueen: Mondays are ruff days. I’ll just skip lunch and sleep the whole day instead. How about you Pooh? Would you rather skip lunch?
Everyday is a day worth celebrating for. But today is a much more important day as today is Winnie the Pooh Day! 🙂
What’s so special about today? Well, it’s A.A Milne’s birthday!
How should you celebrate #WinnieThePoohDay? If you live near Hartfield, East Sussex, you can visit Pooh Corner, home to the world’s largest selection of “Pooh-phernalia”. You can also call your friends to spend the afternoon playing Poohsticks. 🙂 But before all these activities, “let’s begin by taking a smallish nap or two.” 🙂
